Bottom Line - Alpari offers incredible proprietary tools to its clients including auto-chartist and live market commentary (squawk). Alpari also offers execution in a STP environment with extremley competitive commissions.

Alpari is an online broker that offers both forex and futures trading for its clients. Alpari offers trading on three platforms in two different clearing environments (dealing desk & STP). Besides their trading platforms, Alpari offers useful and easy to use trading applications. The live market commentary application delivers breaking news the second it occurs. Alpari was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in New York City.

Commission Notes

By default, Alpari accounts are set up to charge no commission and they are compensated through the bid ask spread.

Spreads - Alpari offers two transaction environments. The first is a traditional no commission set up with 1 pip of spread inserted into the currency pair. The alternative option significantly lowers the spread but a commission is applied to each side of the transaction, this commission structure is outlined below.

Premier Accounts - Also known as "Alpari Pro" accounts, offer significantly reduced spreads and an overall reduced transaction cost. The average spread for a major currency pair with an Alpari PRO account is 1.6 pips. Alpari Pro accounts require a minimum $5,000 deposit and carry a commission of $2.50 per 100K USD. It should be noted that the overall transaction costs within the Alpari Pro environment are cheaper.

Micro Account Trading - Alpari offers micro lot trading for its standard accounts but not on Alpari Pro accounts.
