Bottom Line - Ava does a good job at creating a well rounded brokerage experience.  The company offers automated trading, education, fundamental analysis, and four different trading platforms.  While transactions are a bit pricey, Ava's "fixed spread" environment may appeal to traders who like consistent spreads and transaction costs.

Ava FX is an online broker that only accepts non U.S. customers.  Ava FX currently offers forex trading on 60 currency pairs as well as CFD trading (for exposure to both stock and futures markets).  Ava FX is headquartered in the British Virgin Islands and has an additional office in Dublin Ireland.  The company boasts 150,000 trading accounts in 150 countries.

Commission Notes

By default, Ava FX accounts are set up to charge no commission and they are compensated through the bid ask spread.

Spreads - Ava FX offers only one type of clearing structure.  There is no commission applied to any transaction and spreads are set to a fixed value (the specific spread value will depend on the currency pair).  Ava FX has roughly 2 - 5 pips of spread inserted for a given currency pair.

Micro Lot Trading - Ava FX supports micro lot trading on both the Ava Trader and Metatrader 4 platform.
