Interactive Brokers (IBKR) recently announced the launch of their new Investors’ Marketplace. The Investors’ Marketplace is set up to be a place where traders and investors, financial advisors, fund managers, research analysts, technology providers, business developers and administrators can meet and do business together.

For example, the Investors’ Marketplace is designed to allow clients to search for, research, and then contact investment and other third-party service providers. Advisors, money managers, hedge funds, and brokers will be able to advertise their products on the Investors’ Marketplace, but only if they have an Interactive Brokers account. Other third-party providers such as compliance, legal and administrative firms can list their services without an account after a short application is filled out.

The Investors’ Marketplace is a work in progress for Interactive Brokers. posted about Interactive Brokers acquiring Covester in late April, and that acquisition will be key in furthering the Investors’ Marketplace. In August, Interactive Brokers will be integrating Covester into the marketplace. believes that that Covester will enhance the Investors’ Marketplace experience in a big way.
