TD Ameritrade (AMTD) recently launched a brand new ETF Knowledge Center. The online broker explained that the goal of this project was to give investors more information about ETFs and provide new investment strategies as they relate to current market environments. The quick pulse quiz also allows investors to test their knowledge of ETFs.
Marco De Freitas, head of products at TD Ameritrade, said that this project aims to provide investors with a quicker way to get objective research on ETFs. De Freitas said, “The more help and guidance we as an industry can provide to help simplify what can seem like an overwhelming selection of alternatives, the better for everyone.” He went on to say that the ETF market has expanded tremendously over the last couple decades, which is a good thing for investors, but they also need more guidance to understand which ETFs are right for them.
TD Ameritrade said that the knowledge center will be filled with video tutorials, articles, and announcements about ETFs from the basics to in-depth specialty topics. Areas that are focused on include: diversification using ETFs, accessing commidities, measuring ETF liquidity, finding low cost ETFs, and risks associated with leveraged and inverse ETFs.
The ETF Knowledge Center is an enhancement of TD Ameritrade’s exisiting ETF Market Center. In the ETF Market Center, TD Ameritrade offers more than 100 commission-free ETFs.
