Online discount broker TradeKing has raised the curtain on its brand new, 100% responsive website design. The new design officially began rolling out to TradeKing clients this week, with all clients expected to have access by the year end.

UPDATE 12/02/14 – Official press release now out.

Replacing the current TradeKing Live platform, clients can access the new design by clicking the “TradeKing Live” link the upper right hand corner of any page when logged in.

Completely re-imagining and building the new TradeKing website has been no easy task. The new site uses the latest HTML 5 code and has taken over a year to develop to provide clients with a great experience right from the start.

Our initial testing found that the site loaded well in desktop. Mobile view was a hit or miss depending on the tool, but that is expected being brand new. Core functions such as updating our dashboard, viewing watchlists, and entering trades were all smooth sailing.

Among a slew of new features and functionality, some of the highlights include:

  • 100% responsive website. This means that clients can access the site via desktop, tablet, or smartphone for a seamless experience across all device types.
  • Streaming real-time data throughout. The new site incorporates streaming real-time quotes throughout, making everything from viewing watch lists and positions to conducting research and placing trades a data rich experience.
  • Easy access to placing trades. Clients can access the trade ticket from any page on the new site via the right sidebar to quickly place orders.

Alongside being a great experience for all brokerage clients, the new design also applies to TradeKing’s new advisor services as well. In fact, clients who have a regular trading account and an advisor account can see all their accounts right from the same summary page.

Kevin Delo, Chief Information Officer of TradeKing Group, noted, “No matter what kind of customer you are, this website will meet your needs.”

We couldn’t agree more and are excited to see how the new site continues to evolve over the coming year. Screenshots below.
